![]() I recently bought The Orange Tree Samples Evolution Rosewood Grand and Imperfect Samples Braunschweig and those are both excellent pianos IMO, but I feel the need to get a piano for diversity sake with more of a concert / orchestral feel to it like a Steinway, Vienna or Fazioli Grand. Then again, one might be a fool to pass on $80 for 5 pianos, no? I don't know much about the UVI interface but it seems to be the next closest thing to Kontakt in terms of stability and usability. The UVI Grand Piano Collection demos sound decent but have not really read any posts where someone stated they were blown away by these piano libraries. Is this too good to be true or are the UVI pianos not all they're cracked up to be. To get the strengths of this piano in the low registers, mostly I played in low & mid registers.I've been perusing for some new piano libraries and came across the UVI Grand Piano Collection which is normally $249 (which is a great price for 5 pianos) is now available for $99 on Big Fish Audio and there's a 20% off code for a Columbus Day Sale. In the sample video, I played "Falling slowly" one of the famous soundtracks in the 2000s. IMHO, this piano may be suitable for pop and new age genres where the high dynamic is not required normally.Ībout the main volume value, it is loud enough by default so that I used my Waves L1 Ultramaximizer just a little compared to other sample libraries I have used. Especially dynamic lacks a lot in the high register. Its low register sounds so deep and rich on the other hand mid & high registers sound a bit muggy and weak. Packed with another five grand pianos and six uprights, it boasts a level of diversity that should cater to all occasions. It doesn't sound realistic honestly but its warmth would be attractive if you don't care about the realism of the piano. But the reason I use this piano VST is that it is quite light to use without any concerns regarding CPU and RAM and SSD usage. It sounds decent but not outstanding compared to other famous Steinway D sample libraries in the market now. In this post, I want to focus on the first piano which sampled Steinway Model D. The Kawai-EX Pro sample Library is a fabulous, powerfull and bright 9-foot (276cm) KAWAI EX concert grand piano that used to be in the Kennedy center in Washington DC. You will notice it right away when you play them by yourself. But the other three are just a waste of money honestly in terms of sound and GUI. ![]() Offers ability to shape the piano instruments sounds. Various improvements, presents, instruments, and more.
